On growing up together…

Once upon a time, way back in 2002, I started a Livejournal. Let’s try not to think too long about how old that makes me, shall we? Through that journal I made friends that I still have today… friends that I consider closer than most of the people I see in my day-to-day life. Some of these people have even crossed over into my flesh-and-bone world for various periods of time. We grew up together, had babies that are growing up so very fast together, went through so many triumphs and losses and changes together.

So you will imagine my surprise when two of them started blogs at the same time as me! Apparently I was not the only one missing it.

Introducing some of my old LJ girls, in no particular order:
vivalacupcakedesigns.wordpress.com – Who I love, who has seen me at my best and worst, who knows me better than probably anyone, and who makes all sorts adorable crafty things.
kawaiiordie.com – Who I beat to the finish line when we were pregnant together 10+ years ago, and who creates what are sincerely some of the cutest things I have seen.
thefreshmama.org – Who I would still vote yes for (you had to be there), and who I am looking forward to finding new yummy healthy recipes through.

Lastly, my heart is hurting for all those dealing with the trauma in Boston today. May they find the healing and peace they need to get through this.

  1. Awwww!! This is just… this is just… I LIKE THIS TOO MUCH! lol. Seriously though, I have tried to explain to my husband so many times that we grew up together and he just doesn’t get it. Some of my best friends I’ve never even met! ❤ SO glad we are all back.
